Flu Clinic RN - Fixed Term

The Flu Clinic Registered Nurse works to create a frictionless experience for all patients at onsite flu clinics. This RN role is responsible for performing vaccinations and documenting interactions. The three shifts available for the Fixed Term roles are: Monday / Wednesday / Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Tuesday / Thursday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Administer Influenza and/or COVID‑19 vaccines to patients across various sites on the Apple campuses, including but not limited to Santa Clara Valley. Screen patients’ general condition prior to administering vaccines. Accurately document care rendered in patients’ electronic medical record. Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy when interacting with patients and coworkers. Be prepared to safely intervene in the event of a syncopal episode or other patient emergency. Answer questions and recommend follow‑up during Flu Clinic events. Consistently work to achieve the highest level of patient satisfaction. Continuously evaluate patient volume and provide intervention to optimize patient flow to minimize wait times. Anticipate potential problems or obstacles in daily operations, intervene effectively, and, if indicated, elevate concerns to management. Maintain the strictest confidentiality. Oversee clinical care delivered by medical assistants. NON‑ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Provide input for improving operations and implementing efforts to improve the quality of care in a cost‑effective manner. Engage in other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Current California RN license. Registered Nurse degree from an accredited school. At least one year of clinical experience. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for health care providers. Compliance with AC Wellness Occupational Health Policy, including required immunizations. Proficient keyboarding and computer abilities. Experience using Apple products is preferred. Documentation of successful completion of training and observed practice requirements for technical supportive services (may be completed as part of ACW training). Consistently work agreed-upon hours and/or schedule. Demonstrate comfort and enthusiasm for new methods of care delivery using technology. Model excellent communication and problem‑solving skills with all staff, patients, providers and others by using a positive team approach. Serve as a role model for professional behavior in the delivery of patient care.
