Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianThe maintenance technician is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime by quick in-depth troubleshooting abilities and a world class preventative maintenance program. The desirable candidate must be able to work with others in a fast-paced environment, have a strong work ethic with a high attention to detail, and a get it done attitude. Uses the company's ERP system to setup, manage, and maintain the maintenance schedule of injection molding machinery and equipment.Required Skills:5 years' experience, to include but not limited to, in the following fields of maintenance: Aviation, Automotive Service Technician, HAVAC, Factory or Facility MaintenancePreferred: Technical certification and/or associates degree related to an industrial related fieldMust be able to read and decipher electrical and hydraulic schematicsStrong troubleshooting skillsPreferred: Supervisory or scheduling backgroundEssential Functions:Maintenance of plastic injection molding machinery.Repair auxiliary equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at the facility as required.Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment. Maintain industrial control system.Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safely.Facilities and building maintenance.Create report(s) for repairs by the end of shift. Complete required paperwork, document parts and material usage.Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices, machine, and forklift operation. Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required.Installation of New EquipmentRetrofit/Upgrade of Existing EquipmentBasic Machining SkillsSource parts and build necessary spare parts strategy and inventory for limited down time.Please note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
