You will collaborate with firmware engineers, test developers, and AI/ML practitioners while gaining hands-on experience with storage technologies, automation frameworks, and AI-enabled engineering practices.Responsibilities:Develop and implement firmware verification plans for customer requirements and NVMe features, including SMART, Trim, Get Log Page, and OCPDesign and implement test methodologies to validate firmware functionality and reliabilityAnalyze regression failures, perform root-cause analysis, and communicate findings, risks, and mitigation plansDevelop and enhance Python-based test automation, reporting, and data-collection tools within established validation frameworksLeverage AI-powered tools, machine learning techniques, and data-driven methods to improve test efficiency, failure detection, and workflow automationMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with approximately 3 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree, in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldProficiency in Python and experience with libraries such as NumPy, pandas, and Scikit-learnExperience with test automation, testing methodologies, validation tools, and debugging complex technical issuesWorking knowledge of machine learning fundamentals, including common algorithms, training concepts, and evaluation metricsExperience using AI-powered tools or AI-enabled workflows to improve engineering productivity, test quality, and operational efficiencyPreferred Qualifications:Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorchAcademic, research, or project experience in machine learning, data science, or artificial intelligenceExperience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologiesUnderstanding of embedded systems, firmware validation, or hardware testing conceptsFamiliarity with Git, Agile methodologies, and modern software development practicesMicron Technology is committed to advancing memory and storage solutions through engineering excellence, cross-functional collaboration, and responsible innovation. The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:$81,000.00 - $137,000.00 a yearAdditional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
