Location and Schedule Location: Austin, Texas Schedule: Full-Time Incentives $2,500 CME allowance + dedicated CME days Malpractice coverage with tail What You Will Do Join an established team of 4 physicians and several fellows Practice setting: outpatient Employed position within a nonprofit health system Deliver comprehensive clinical assessments for oncology patients receiving chemotherapy and biotherapy, actively managing side effects and modifying care plans to ensure safe treatment delivery. Educate new patients and families on chemotherapy and biotherapy regimens, empowering them with a clear understanding of their treatment pathways and symptom management strategies. Lead rapid intervention for urgent clinical findings by serving as the primary point of contact for emergent lab and imaging results from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, ensuring swift, critical course corrections. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of oncologists and oncology nurses to proactively prevent, identify, and manage treatment‑related complications, optimizing patient outcomes. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date. Accepted: American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Advanced Life Support preferred. Accepted: American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Education Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master’s degree preferred. Work Experience 1 year of experience preferred.
