Compensation: $17 - $19/hr. based on experience

Schedule: Full-Time

Job Description: The Veterinary Assistant will provide support to our emergency department. This role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, works well independently, and enjoys a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Responsibilities:

• Provide support to all clinical departments as needed.
• Remain accessible and respond to requests for assistance throughout the hospital.
• Assist with patient care, restraint, treatments, diagnostics, and radiographs.
• Monitor Blood Bank appointments and assist with patient flow.
• Perform basic laboratory duties, including running in-house tests and submitting samples.
• Communicate effectively with clients, doctors, and hospital staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working as a veterinary assistant in a veterinary hospital
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing departmental needs.
• Experience handling a variety of patient species, including exotics, is a plus.
• Basic computer and medical terminology knowledge required.
• CVA (Certified Veterinary Assistant) preferred
• Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!
