Seasonal Pool Bar Chef

The Pool Bar Chef is responsible for prepping and preparing all food for Latitude 26 and Latitude 26 Pool Bar. Restaurant chefs are expected to have a high level of customer service skills, as interacting with our members and guests in our open kitchen is a critical component to the position. This position may also be referred to as Cook.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prep all necessary food and menu items to ensure consistency and a quality product is being delivered
• Continuously set and meet goals to ensure guest and staff satisfaction as well as the financial success of the establishment
• Ensure the highest levels of quality and consistency in food preparation, presentation and service
• Communicate ordering needs to management
• Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS office, POS, excel, word, restaurant inventory system)
• Credentials in health and safety training
• Ensure health and safety protocols are adhered to

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

• Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.
• Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area.
• Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.

Technical and Physical Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years' restaurant kitchen experience preferred
• Appropriate culinary training and certifications preferred
• ServeSafe certification preferred
• Customer Service/Hospitality service preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, rotate, reach
• Ability to lift 50 pounds

Schedule

8-12 Hour Shifts which may include days, nights, weekends and holidays
