Southview Acres Healthcare Center is hiring for a Full Time Registered Dietitian!

About Us: At Southview Acres Healthcare Center, we're dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents. We're currently seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Primary Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that residents' clinical nutrition needs are provided by the food and nutrition services department.

Duties and Responsbilities:

• Review and develop a plan of correction for any food and nutrition services deficiencies noted during state/ federal surveys and provide a written copy of such plan to the Administrator for his/her approval
• Assist in developing diet plans for individual residents based on the comprehensive assessment and care plan along with the resident's preferences and stated goals.
• Interview residents or family members ot obtain diet history as necessary.
• Review departmental complaints and grivances from personnel and make written reports ot the Administrator of action taken.
• Review therapeutic and regular diet plans and menus to assure thye are in compliance with the physician's orders.
• Participate in facility state/federal surveys (inspections) as directed.
• Participate in completeing, coding, and revising the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI).
• Develope a written dietary plan of care for residents.

Education:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a bachelor's degree in a nationally accredited nutrition or dietetics program from an accredited college or university.
• Has completed at least 900 hours of supervised dietetics practice under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian or nutrition professional.
• Is licensed or certified as a dietitian or nutrition professional by the state or is recognized as a Registered Dietitian by the Commision on Dietetic Registration or its successor organization.

Experience:

• Must have, as a miniumum, one (1) year of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility or other related medical facility.
• Must have training in cost control, food management and food safety.
