Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time Entry Observation in Linden, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, and supporting visitors, employees, and customers with professional communication. You will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, and help deter incidents through attentive service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the retail location by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and maintaining required access records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, sales areas, stock areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and access-control activities in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
