Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of Emergency Room experience required. License: Must possess a valid nursing license prior to the start date. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC required. Must-Have: Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Candidates may float to nearby facilities as needed, though rarely. Local candidates are not accepted. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room. The shifts are three 12-hour shifts or four 12-hour shifts per week. Nurses will care for a diverse patient population including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The unit has an average daily census of 150 patients. Patient ratios are 4:1 for both days and nights. Floating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals is required for all travelers. Candidates should have experience in managing dysrhythmias and starting/maintaining IVs. Charting experience with specific systems may be preferred. Previous charge experience and familiarity with trauma cases are desired but not mandatory. Candidates must adhere to required certifications and nursing standards. Availability for schedule adjustments as needed is expected. Interdisciplinary support will be provided from various specialized services.
