Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Long Term Care

LTC LVN/LPNShift options: 4x12 Variable or 3x12 Variable (traveler's choice). Day or Night shifts available. Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks. Requests for time off (RTO) are restricted to no more than 1 week for a 13-week contract and no more than 2 weeks for a 26-week contract. Must be willing to work winter holidays.Contract length: Traveler's choice of 13 or 26 weeks. Local candidates not accepted; a permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.RequirementsAlaska LVN/LPN license in hand.Minimum of 1 year of Long Term Care (LTC) experience required.Prior travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted).Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Experience with feeding tubes, Foley catheter care, Accuchecks, IV hydration, respiratory treatments, wound care, and dementia care.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care in a Long Term Care setting.Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.Monitor patients' vital signs and report changes to healthcare team.Assist with activities of daily living and rehabilitation.Document patient care and respond to patient needs effectively.Background checks and compliance guidelines will be followed. Facility parking details provided upon hire. Additional certifications may be required during orientation.
