About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Department License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH required; CPI, PALS, TNCC preferred Must-Have: - Experience in Emergency Department - EPIC charting system experience - Pass Fail EKG exam required Description: Mandatory questionnaire must be answered promptly. Candidate must be aware they are being submitted for consideration and job description reviewed. Candidate must be flexible with scheduling. Candidate must understand there is a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences. Candidate must have no barriers preventing completion of compliance on time. Compliance deadline is 12 Noon EST the Wednesday prior to the start date. Candidate must be aware of the required Pass Fail EKG exam. Shifts are 3x12 hours working nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Two weekend shifts or four weekend days are required every six weeks. Holidays may be required as needed. No call is required. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and NIH. Preferred certifications include CPI, PALS, and TNCC. Candidate should have experience as a Charge RN and in Level 2 Trauma. Skills required include arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, and interpretation of arterial blood gases. The facility handles a variety of patient diagnoses and special procedures including stroke and cardiac care. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, phlebotomy, and pharmacy assistance. Travelers may be floated to any campus as needed. All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam, with two attempts allowed. Modules are non-billable and generally take 2-4 hours.
