Maintenance TechnicianIn the Maintenance Technician position, you will be responsible to perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility machinery. Troubleshoot and repair facility machinery. Advanced skills required in all the following area-HVAC, electric, welding, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry and piping systems. Brown Foodservice a major food distributor located in Louisa, KY. You will be an essential part of our team that has been servicing customers and delivering fine foods since 1942.Responsibilities:Responsible for the installation, maintenance, trouble shooting, and repair of facility and machineryPerform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility machineryMaintain standard operating procedures and Job Safety AnalysisComplete daily maintenance and repair logsCommunicate with operators from other shiftsTroubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, respond to emergency call for repairs, and operate machinery with an emphasis on servicing, repairing, and maintaining equipment.Planning responsibilities include developing and scheduling activities and assisting in preparing work schedulesPerforming essentially the same work as directed and includes overseeing work quality.Work with your Supervisor to comply with various state and federal agencies may also be required. Vendors and suppliers may also be called upon for information on purchases, supplies or productsMaintain and secure work toolsHave advanced skills required in one or more of the following areas-HVAC, electric, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and piping systemsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Basic reading, writing and math skills requiredAbility to read and interpret blueprints and schematicsManual dexterity required for operating machinery and computersAbility to lift 60-80 poundsWork from ladders and elevated equipmentWorking Conditions:Normal for a distribution environment: outside-ambient temp, inside-dry cooler-34 degrees and inside-frozen- -20 degreesMachinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: Eye safety glasses, Hearing Protection, work boots and safety harnessBrown Foodservice, Inc.
