Registered Nurse PICU

Job Summary:

Provide specialized pediatric critical care nursing to patients within the Pediatric Intensive Care Units, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes through expert clinical skills and compassionate care. Float within the pediatric units as needed to meet facility demands.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Coordinate and deliver direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients in PICU, NICU, and CVPICU units.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and operate advanced life support equipment, including ECMO and CRRT.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient status, treatments, and interventions.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to all safety protocols and compliance standards, including BLS and PALS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Float to all Pediatric units and adapt quickly to varying patient needs and clinical scenarios.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years of pediatric ICU nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  BLS and PALS certifications from AHA required.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated experience with ECMO and CRRT preferred.
  
  
• 
  Ability to float between units and work night shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM).
  
  
• 
  Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.
