About the Position

Job Title: ED RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour or Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year of ED RN experience required License: Current RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care skills - Ability to provide care in accordance with policies, scientific principles, and evidence-based nursing practice - Flexibility to float to other campuses - Availability for every other weekend rotation Description: The ED RN provides high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department. The RN must be able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs. Responsible for managing patients with various medical conditions and emergencies. The role includes administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing procedures. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes is essential. The RN should exhibit strong communication and critical thinking skills. This position may involve caring for patients across all age groups. The selected candidate will be required to adhere to unit and hospital standards of care. The RN may encounter high-stress situations and must respond appropriately. Participation in ongoing education and professional development is expected.
