This position is located in Social Work Service, Roseburg VA Health Care System (RVAHCS), Brookings Clinic. The incumbent supervises staff at the GS5-9, GS-11 and GS-12 grades, including advanced practice social workers, entry level social workers, other licensed staff and non-licensed professional staff. The incumbent supervises staff that work in complex interdisciplinary HUD-VASH and Health Care for Homeless Veterans programs. The incumbent is responsible for the professional and administrative management for the Coastal Homeless Teams and may supervise or provide supervisory coverage to other program areas within the Homeless Programs. As the supervisor, the incumbent assists in planning, establishing and implementing policies and procedures; developing individual or group goals and objectives as well as monitoring, operating, evaluating, coordinating and overseeing the Social Work staff of the assigned team. The incumbent will ensure the Social Workers and other team members whom they supervise are aware of and adhere to all current directives of Veterans Health Administration, and meet current Joint Commission standards, state licensure standards and VA-OIG expectations. The incumbent will conduct ongoing intensive reviews and appraisals to ensure the accomplishment of objectives and adherence to standards set by governing bodies. The incumbent also provides direct clinical services and case management.

Work Schedule: 8am-4:30pm

Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases

Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year), Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience.

Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.

Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.

Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
