ResponsibilitiesPatient Care Technicians work alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare environments. The Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a vital role in the healthcare delivery setting, often having more patient contact than any other team member, including doctors and nurses.
QualificationsJob Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1– 2 years of patient care experience.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
