This position follows Trio's clinical interview process. Candidates can expect outreach within two hours via phone and text where applicable with decisions typically made the same day or by the next business day. Functioning within the Health System s mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on his/her shift. RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care using age specific criteria. Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries
Requirement description :
2+ Years of Experience - [REQUIRED]
Post-operative open heart care experience - [REQUIRED]
Critical Care Experience - [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
Chest tube and other drain management Experience - Required
Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access - Required
Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including: reading and interpreting cardiac rhythym strips, recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms - Required
Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities - Required
Experience with the following procedures and equipment (assisting with chest tube removal, assisting with removal of pericardial pacing wires, management of temporary pacers, including pericardial and transcutaneous devices, use and troubleshooting of non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices, high-flow oxygen, and other oxygen delivery systems - Required
Must float to all units within skill level- Required
Lima's local traveler policy is to reduce the travel rate by 8%. Anyone with a permanent address within a 45-mile radius of facility is considered a local traveler.
