Principal Python AI Architect for Enterprise AI
Compunnel, Inc.
We are seeking a Principal-level Python AI Developer with extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale AI solutions. The ideal candidate will join a cross-functional product team of software engineers, research scientists, and product managers to build AI-first applications using modern cloud technologies, Infrastructure as Code, and AI-assisted development tools. This role requires strong technical leadership, expertise in scalable distributed systems, and the ability to drive enterprise AI initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale AI applications using Python and modern software engineering practices.
- Build scalable backend services and distributed systems to support AI-driven products.
- Develop and maintain modern web applications, collaborating across backend and frontend technologies.
- Design and implement cloud-native applications on AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Build, deploy, and maintain applications using GitLab CI/CD and cloud deployment pipelines.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, or similar platforms to improve engineering productivity.
- Collaborate with software engineers, research scientists, and product managers throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Lead technical design discussions and provide architectural guidance for AI-first software solutions.
- Ensure applications meet enterprise standards for scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
- Mentor engineering teams and promote best practices in AI-enabled software development.
- Communicate technical solutions and architectural decisions effectively with stakeholders and leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 15+ years of software engineering experience.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale AI solutions.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and modern software architecture.
- Strong backend development experience with Python or a comparable backend language with the ability to read and work with Python.
- Experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment practices.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, or similar platforms.
- Experience leading large technical initiatives and influencing engineering strategy.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
