Dietary Aide

Job Description

Westfields Hospital is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Dietary Aide to join our Food and Nutrition Services team. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality nutritional services by assisting with meal preparation, meal distribution, sanitation, and customer service activities throughout the hospital. The position is responsible for the specific job duties and responsibilities:

• Assists with the preparation, assembly, and delivery of patient meals according to dietary guidelines and requirements
• Maintains a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment by routinely cleaning work areas, dishes, utensils, equipment, and storage spaces in accordance with established food safety standards.
• Safely uses and monitors chemical and cleaning agents
• Cross trains for a minimum of two positions in the Dietary Department
• Prepare tables for catering events according to requests
• Other duties as assigned

FTE: 1.75; 7 hours per week

Work Schedule: Required to work 2-3 shifts per week

• Available shifts include
  
  • Monday-Sunday 4pm-7:30pm
  • Saturday 7am-12:15pm
  • Sunday 7am-1:30pm

Required Qualifications:

• High School/GED enrollment or completion
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hospital food service work experience
• Basic computer knowledge
