TownePlace Suites Omaha West is seeking a hands-on, guest-focused A ssistant General Manager to help lead daily hotel operations. This is an opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys developing associates, solving problems, and creating a welcoming environment where guests feel at home—whether they stay for a night, a week, or longer.

Working alongside the General Manager, you will support the hotel’s operational and financial goals while helping associates deliver dependable service and uphold Marriott brand standards.

What You’ll Do

• Support the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, breakfast service, and coordination with Maintenance.
\n
• Lead by example, providing friendly, professional service and assisting departments during busy periods.
\n
• Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and recognize associates in partnership with the General Manager.
\n
• Help manage schedules and staffing to meet guest needs while monitoring labor costs.
\n
• Address guest concerns promptly, follow through on resolutions, and identify opportunities to improve the guest experience.
\n
• Monitor guest satisfaction results and work with department leaders to strengthen service and cleanliness.
\n
• Oversee front desk procedures, including reservations, room assignments, payments, cash handling, and shift communication.
\n
• Coordinate room readiness and maintenance priorities to keep accommodations clean, comfortable, and guest-ready.
\n
• Build relationships with extended-stay guests and anticipate their needs throughout their stay.
\n
• Support hotel sales efforts by identifying leads and communicating opportunities to the sales team.
\n
• Assist with purchasing, inventory, expense controls, and operational reporting.
\n
• Reinforce hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures.
\n
• Help prepare for brand quality assurance reviews and follow up on improvement plans.
\n
• Serve as the manager on duty and provide hotel leadership in the General Manager’s absence.

What You Bring

\n
• At least two years of progressive hotel operations experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities, preferred.
\n
• Front office leadership experience and an understanding of housekeeping and hotel operations.
\n
• Marriott or extended-stay hotel experience preferred.
\n
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• The ability to coach associates, set clear expectations, and address concerns respectfully and consistently.
\n
• Familiarity with hotel property management systems, reservations, and payment procedures.
\n
• Basic financial knowledge, including labor management, expense controls, and interpreting operational reports.
\n
• A dependable, adaptable approach and a willingness to work alongside your team.
\n
• Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on hotel needs.
\n
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
