Supply Chain Associate

Complete four nine-month rotational assignments across diverse Supply Chain functions Work in Sourcing & Accounts Payable, Operations & Analytics, Supplier Diversity & Sustainability, Compliance / Business Support Services, and Organizational Effectiveness & Strategic Alignment Support sourcing areas including Nuclear, Generation, Major Projects, T&D, and Enterprise Participate in and lead small- and large-scale initiatives Conduct negotiations and commercial evaluations Contribute to project management and process improvement activities Use numerous Supply Chain tools and gain practical on-the-job experience Interact with other Supply Chain Associates through planned social and work activities Deploy to an area of interest at program conclusion, subject to business need Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Communications, or a related field Duke Energy Intern/Co-op Experience Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future Master’s Degree preferred Change Management certification preferred Project Management experience or certification preferred Certified Production and Inventory Management preferred Certified Purchasing Manager preferred Lean or Six Sigma experience or certification preferred Business and financial expertise Planning/organizational skills Problem solving/analytical skills Good oral and written communications Demonstrated ability to work independently Good interpersonal negotiation skills Understanding of cost and financial analysis Understanding of supply chain processes and the total cost concept General business and commercial acumen Growing presentation skills Ability to travel to company facilities and suppliers Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in Supply Chain processes, project management, and financial analysis, with strong negotiation and communication skills.
