Material Handler

Position Title: Material Handler Wage: $19.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm (Mon-Fri) Material Handler Responsibilities Unload inbound shipments and transport products to designated storage locations. Load outbound shipments and stage materials for delivery and shipment. Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently. Move, stack, stage, and organize products throughout the warehouse. Operate propane-powered forklifts and other powered material handling equipment. Utilize manual pallet jacks as needed. Pull and prepare customer orders for shipment while ensuring accuracy. Perform order picking activities using RF scanners and inventory tracking systems. Use scan guns for receiving, put-away, inventory movement, and shipping functions. Verify inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and inspect products for damage. Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or quality concerns. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories. Follow proper stock rotation procedures. Maintain equipment, work areas, and warehouse locations in a clean and organized condition. Support warehouse security and safe operating practices. Follow OSHA, AIB, and company safety regulations. Promote safe operation of forklifts and warehouse equipment at all times. Material Handler Requirements High school diploma or GED required. 1-2 years of forklift operating experience required. Ability to safely operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts. Experience using RF scan guns and warehouse management systems. Basic computer skills. Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy. Ability to make decisions and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment. Previous corrugated manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment. Ability to frequently get on and off forklifts throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in cold warehouse environments. Dependable attendance and commitment to workplace safety. Will operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
