Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist

We are seeking a qualified OB Hospitalist to join our team in Christiansburg, VA. The position involves providing emergent gynecological care with backup available from other OBs, general surgery, and ER physicians. The hospital handles an average of 72 deliveries per month, with MFM specialists onsite but not physically present, and in-house anesthesia available 24/7. The NICU does not have a Neonatal Unit onsite, but the main hospital has a Level 3B NICU, along with 10 newborn bassinetts and 10 LDRPs. The current L&D coverage includes one in-house Laborist, with private providers managing some of their patients' schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Provide emergent gynecological care as needed
• Collaborate with hospital staff and backup physicians
• Support the obstetric team during labor and delivery emergencies

Qualifications:

• Valid medical license in Virginia
• Board-certified or eligible in OB/GYN
• Experience in obstetric emergencies preferred

Schedule:

• This is a locum position with flexible scheduling to meet hospital needs
