Material Handler (Day Shift)

Material HandlerThe Material Handler is responsible for unloading, checking in, stocking, picking, consolidating, packing, and shipping inventory in the warehouse. These tasks must be completed to an efficient and accurate standard to ensure smooth inbound and outbound operations. This position requires the use of our internal warehouse systems and various warehouse equipment, which may include Powered Industrial Trucks.Job Location: 1225 Richard Petty Way, Lebanon, TN 37090We only accept W-2 candidates, H-1B sponsorship is not available.ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Unload live domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment, or unload import containers by handUse our ERP system to systematically receive inventory accurately and efficiently, ready to be placed in storage rackingMove palletized product using pallet jacks/forklift equipment to organize the receiving dock, or transport product to other areas of the Distribution CenterScan and place inventory in racking locations using forklift equipment and a handheld scanning device, ready for warehouse operationsRetrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using handheld scanning devices and ERP system, completed on foot or using forklift equipmentSort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processingPack products accurately and securely using our internal SPS system, focusing on providing an excellent customer experienceOperate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standardsMeet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy, and quality of workMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadershipWork closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goalsAbide by all company and warehouse policiesFlex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operationWork Hours1st Shift: Mon-Thurs 7:00 am - 5:30 pmPhysical RequirementsWork is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.Work EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
