Job Title: Physician – Program Director, Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging Fellowship (Open Rank/Track Faculty). Department: The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center. Position Overview Reporting to the Department Chair, this Fellowship Program Director will oversee both educational and patient‑care outcomes within the training program. The Program Director will collaborate with department leadership, graduate medical education leadership, hospital administrative leadership, and other stakeholders to provide operational leadership for the Department and the Wexner Medical Center. Duties and Responsibilities Provide leadership of the educational mission of the training program, ensuring appropriate trainee milestone achievement, oversight of faculty teaching performance, and assignment of teaching faculty based on performance. Foster an effective, safe learning environment that promotes interdisciplinary teamwork and high‑quality clinical services to patients. Assess fellowship quality outcome metrics—both educational and patient‑care—and support efficient resource utilization and adherence to protocols and practice guidelines. Ensure supervising physicians receive education and training commensurate with their activity in OSUWMC and that trainees are supervised appropriately for their skill and knowledge level. Maintain accreditation and regulatory compliance with the Joint Commission, HIPAA, OSHA, and other accrediting or regulatory bodies. Lead recruitment of exceptional trainees and collaborate with the clinical department to retain high‑performing individuals. Develop a training program that is highly regarded and recommended by peers, with attention to improving national rankings where applicable. Encourage fellow involvement in reviewing and implementing clinical practice guidelines and care protocols relevant to the training program. Monitor and track key indicators of program success, including trainee performance, evaluation data, surveys, procedure data, faculty development, graduate performance, and program quality. Collaborate with key constituents to develop and support an educational curriculum that meets trainee needs. Attend appropriate administrative meetings as necessary to ensure the success of the program, department, and OSUWMC. Ensure timely completion of documentation, including annual surveys, program updates, responses to citations or areas for improvement, training procedural data, and milestone reporting. Requirements M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree. Board eligible or board certified in Radiology (ABR, ABOR). Completion of a subspecialty fellowship in Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging by time of appointment. Three years post‑fellowship experience. Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the state of Ohio. Compensation Package Salary: commensurate with experience, plus bonus and relocation assistance. Retirement Benefits: 14% employer match, supplemental retirement accounts (403(b) and 457(b)). Paid Time Off: 176 hours annual vacation, 120 hours annual sick time, 11 recognized annual holidays, and generous CME allowance.
