Requirements MaineHealth is looking for an experienced anesthesiologist to join their Waldo Hospital Team: of ASAP- estimated credentialing timeframe is 60-90 daysReason for Coverage: Backfilling a locum who resigned Ideally looking for Full-Time candidates but will review candidates offering less than full-timePractice Setting: Critical access hospital located in historic seaport of Belfast MaineSchedule: 0700-1530 Call Schedule: Week night call is 7a - 4pm every third night flexible. Weekend call is 24 hours. Weekend call is one weekend per month 1:4 Call Ratio: every third flexibleDocumentation System/EMR: EPIC Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: 14-16 included endoscopy Will the Locum Tenen Physician be Required to Supervise CRNAs: No. The physicians do their own cases Trauma Level/Designation: No trauma Number of Anesthesiologists in Practice: 4 Will the Locum Tenens Physician be Responsible for Preparing the Anesthesia Cart? Pre-op population of EpicPatient Age Demographic: 3-100 Description of OR Staff: Congenial professional and helpful staff Number of Operating Rooms: We run three anesthesia sites per day includes OR's and endoscopy rooms Procedures Required: General Surgical Cases ADULTMinor Nerve BlocksPlexus anesthesiaEpidural AnesthesiaSpinal AnesthesiaRegional AnesthesiaObstetrical Cases Pain Management Procedures: Acute Insertion of: Arterial line Evaluation and Management of Acute Volume / BP Issues? Yes Is the OB Program still active? If yes how many deliveries per month on average? Yes. 4 - 6 deliveries a month.What are the policies for the epidurals? Anesthesiologists are allowed to leave the hospital after the epidural is initiated. Must be available for call back.How long is the call response time? We follow ACOG guidelines 30 minute response time. Travel Requirements: Flight - No first-class flights. Hotel - 200/night lodging cap after taxes and fees Rental Car - Standard rental car no premium/SUV etc. rentals. Mileage Billed at the IRS Standard Rate 25K max on conversion rate
