Campus Hills Dentistry is searching for an energetic, skilled, and passionate Dental Assistant to join our growing private dental practice.

What You'll Do:

• Greet and welcome all patients and visitors to the practice
• Prepare operatories, instruments and materials prior to each appointment. 
• Deliver outstanding patient care and create a welcoming, positive experience from check in throughout treatment.
• Obtain and document patient medical histories, treatment information, and clinical notes accurately.
• Take quality dental radiographs (X-rays) as prescribed by the dentist.
• Assist dentists and oral surgeon during procedures, passing instruments, positioning instruments for dentist's access, suctioning. 
• Provide materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
• Take and assist with impressions; pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.
• Fabricate temporary restorations; cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
• Maintain strict infection control prevention and sterilization standards by cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments and operatories. 
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
• Educate patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
• Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
• Maintain patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering clinical supplies.
• Support daily office operations, including maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment. 
• Perform additional duties to support patient care and office success. 

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma 
• Maryland Radiation Technologist (X-Ray Certification)
• Strong communication and patient service skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and compassionate patient care.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year of dental assisting experience
• Experience assisting with oral surgery and dental implants
• Experience taking impressions
• Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix) and electronic patient records 
• Familiarity with dental imaging software (Dexis)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour, negotiable upon experience
