Intensive Care Unit Nurse

Any traveler not currently in possession of an active State of HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer. Candidate must have Hawaii License by start of assignment.

General job duties include types of procedures required. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept includes Meditech.

Required skills and minimum years of experience include three years of min ICU experience.

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required include BLS, ACLS, HI license, NIH SS Cert (submit certification or take online 45 min class as part of orientation).

Shift or schedule requirements include being flexible with day or night shifts to be determined per roster period dependent on staffing needs. Three 12-hour shifts (36 hours) per week following first week of orientation. Two 12-hour call shifts per 4-week roster period. Floating to other units/departments when needed may float out to other critical care and step-down units.

Bed size/number of rooms for this unit is 11. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit is 2:1. Dress code: professional wear - scrubs. One week orientation up to 40 hours.
