Position Type Indirect - Administrative/Clerical/Customer Service Responsibilities The 988 Care Specialists provide evidence-informed crisis intervention, suicide prevention, information & referral, and brief supportive listening to individuals who contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline in emotional distress, particularly those at high risk for suicidal and/or homicidal thoughts and behaviors. 988 Care Specialists interact with individuals over the phone, through SMS text messaging, and/or web chat. Minimum Education High School Diploma/GED Preferences Bilingual; One (1) year experience in behavioral health/substance-use/disability service; An associate degree higher.
