Physical Therapist Assistant Opportunity

Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24-hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.

Provides outpatient physical therapy evaluation and treatments for patients with any number of physical impairments which affect their ability to function and/or cause pain. Department is staffed by physical therapists, physical therapists' assistants, and aides.

Provides skilled treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician and directed by a licensed physical therapist as specified in their health care service setting.

Responsibilities:

• Implements treatment plan as developed by the licensed physical therapist.
• Collaborates with the licensed physical therapist on an agreed upon frequency to assess and reassess patients plan of care, treatment goals and interventions.
• Documents patient progress in daily notes and weekly notes (as applicable), as well as contributes recommendations to patients discharge note from physical therapy.
• Assists with guidance for clinical fieldwork students under the supervision of the physical therapist.
• Reports on interventions and patient progress during assigned meetings and contributes to the screening and evaluation process.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Associate's Degree - PT Assistant
• Experience: No Experience
• Supervisor Experience: No Experience
• Licenses & Certifications: PTA
