Our medical center is a 18-bed critical access hospital with advanced capabilities, including a 64-slice CT scanner, 3D tomosynthesis mammography, 1.5 tesla MRI, ultrasound, fluro, electronic medical records, and a full-service, state-of-the-art lab. We are situated 30 minutes from the Bighorn mountains, Wind River Canyon, and an easy drive to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.

As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluations and treatments of outpatient and inpatient populations in a rural setting. You will supervise assistance when appropriate and communicate and coordinate with patients, caregivers, and providers. This is a day shift position, Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00pm, with a rotating weekend schedule.

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the evaluation, planning, administration, and supervision of Physical Therapy treatment in accordance with physician referral, state and national organizational standards, regulatory agencies, and established departmental policies and procedures. This position demonstrates the clinical competence and knowledge necessary to provide treatment appropriate to the age of the patients served.

CORE FUNCTIONS:

• Evaluates patient's functional abilities and limitations. Determines if intervention is needed. Establishes a plan of care and treatment goals.
• Implements individualized treatment plan with consideration to the patient's physical, social, spiritual, cultural, educational, and age-specific needs.
• Documents according to professional practice guidelines set by regulatory agencies.
• Communicates pertinent patient information to ensure the best possible follow through of care.
• Exhibits adaptability in assignments as it relates to caseload, scheduling, and staffing shifts.
• Demonstrates appropriate supervision and delegation of personnel to achieve safe delivery of quality cost-effective patient care.
• Department operational activities.
• Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduated from an APTA accredited school of Physical Therapy, or equivalent.
• Current Physical Therapy license within the State of practice.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to become proficient with computer software applications commonly used in an automated patient care environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
