- A registered nurse who is currently licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Health Professionals and who has at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a hospice setting. Minimum 5 years of experience as a professional nurse, preferably in an acute care or hospice care setting.
Certified Hospice and Palliative Care, preferred.
Demonstrated leadership and organizational ability with a motivation to assist in the implementation of program development.
Demonstrated ability to assess and respond to the needs of terminally ill residents and families in varied settings.
Demonstrated skill in nursing practice, ability to cope with family emotional stress and tolerance of individual lifestyles.
Demonstrated computer skills for documents, spreadsheets and database management and ability to learn new electronic medical record software and become a trainer. health record documentations.
