WORK SCHEDULE/CONDITIONS: This is a Special Duty Assignment (SDA) or Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) position anticipated to end 24 months from the start date, but subject to change dependent on operational need. This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. MISSION CRITICAL POSITION STATUS: This position has been designated Non-Mission Critical. TELEWORKING REQUIREMENT: DCHS works in a hybrid model, with days in the office as well as telecommuting. The ratio of remote to onsite work will be dependent on business needs and is subject to change. The primary onsite location is the Chinook Building at 401 Fifth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely. The individual selected for this opportunity will join an innovative and progressive team that is redefining how we work as we transition to the department's hybrid environment. Employees will be provided with a County-issued laptop and must maintain a home workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Draft, format, proofread, and finalize various correspondence, reports, and materials with close attention to detail. Assist with reviewing and developing briefing material, reports, and presentations for internal and external consumption that are consistent with DCHS branding. Assist with various internal and external compliance activities, projects, and programs by gathering and analyzing data, references, documents, and other materials. Route and/or respond to general inquiries of need for navigation assistance made by DCHS contractors through DCHS contractor-specific inboxes. Review training waiver requests and track completion of various contractor-required and staff-required trainings. Develop dashboards to monitor and report out training completion rates. Establish protocols for consistent file structures and document naming conventions for various records. Set up and manage Microsoft Teams and SharePoint sites, including other technology platforms, used by DCHS. Perform other duties as assigned. At least three years of recent experience providing support to complex projects and/or programs OR a combination of education & experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties of the position. Strong customer service skills in all forms of communication; the ability to work positively within a team environment, maintaining professionalism, patience, and etiquette in all encounters. Experience and knowledge of gathering and analyzing data, outcomes, reports, and quality improvement recommendations with the ability to develop formal reports and other documentation. Ability to maintain a high level of security and confidentiality and handle all matters in a highly ethical manner. Experience using and maintaining websites and digital collaboration or content management platforms, such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, including developing and managing sites to ensure user-friendly access. Strong organizational skills and written and oral communication; effective analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to multi-task, remain organized, and have acute attention to detail in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and changing priorities; the ability to identify and prioritize time-sensitive matters and respond with a sense of urgency, as needed. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team An understanding of equity, racial and social justice (ERSJ) principles and practices, and commitment to apply ERSJ learnings to improve program work and contribute to an inclusive workplace culture. Desired Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills Previous professional experience related to project management, contract compliance, and/or quality assurance.
