What You Will Do The assistant coach reports directly to the head coach and assists in the organization and administration of the softball program in accordance with NCAA, Ohio Valley Conference, and university rules. A commitment to developing a competitive NCAA Division I softball program while emphasizing academic success of student‑athletes. Ensure compliance with NCAA rules, promptly report any violations to the director of athletics or designee. Minimum Acceptable Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred. Previous experience as an NCAA assistant coach or collegiate head coach at the NCAA Division II or III, NAIA, or NJCAA level; 1–2 years of collegiate coaching experience preferred. Evidence of strong organizational and communication skills. Current knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Commitment to student‑athlete welfare and academic success.
