As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. Here, you’ll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients. Work with us to use data for good.You Have:   5+ years of experience with Linux System Administration activities such as command-line operations, system services, networking and role based permissions5+ years of experience with large=scale data systems such as traditional data warehouses, ETL pipelines or cloud platforms3+ years of experience designing data pipeline architectures for security operations, including log collection, normalization, enrichment and routingExperience deploying platforms across cloud on premises and disconnected environments using Kubernetes or OpenShiftExperience with configuration management or DevOps tooling such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef or TerraformExperience with highly structured, controlled, classified or compartmented environments with strict access enforcementExperience with analyzing logs, comprehending service dependencies and working through system performance anomaliesKnowledge of zero trust principles, DoD and IC cybersecurity frameworks and federal compliance standardsTop Secret clearanceHS diploma or GEDNice If You Have:   3+ years of experience with defensive cyber operations, cybersecurity engineering, or security platform architecture Experience with DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines in IL6, or IL7 environments Experience with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages for automating system operations tasks TS/SCI clearance with a polygraphDoD 8140 baseline Certification, such as Security+, CISSP, CISSP-ISSEP, or CASP+ Certification Clearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.  CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
