Clinical Training Specialist

Role Overview Provides clinical training and support to customers, as a subject matter expert, on-site and/or remotely to ensure customers are prepared to operate their equipment according to safe and effective use guidelines and to fully utilize the complex functionality of the technology to meet their business needs. As a Clinical Specialist, you will support VIS products and procedures by assisting, training, and educating physicians, nurses, other hospital staff, and technicians on the use of our products. While the role will be primarily locally based, the position may require regional and local travel if required (approximately 60%). Role Responsibilities Provide in‑person case coverage: ensures product(s) and ancillary components are available for each case; completes and processes all procedure‑related paperwork; tracks and reports all customer complaints; ensures physicians and staff have the most current information; manages a disposable inventory sufficient to cover assigned case load; brings products (including Microwave and Cryoablation generators) to cases as required. Train and educate physicians and hospital staff on use of assigned VIS products: provides on‑site clinical support during procedures while maintaining a 'hands off' posture in relation to direct patient contact; interacts with customers and functional organizations to determine their training needs and uses engineering documentation such as Operating Manuals and DFUs to develop course content; may coordinate or lead customer and/or employee training classes; may also conduct large group presentations at seminars, training programs, and trade shows; may also provide demo support to local, regional, and national customer trade events. Provide first‑line product technical support: performs new installation support to ensure products are working as specified; provides first‑line technical service support via Engineering or Field Service Engineer oversight when necessary. Collaborate with the VIS Medical Affairs Team: assists Medical Education, Medical Information, and Medical Science Liaisons if required; documents day‑to‑day interactions with physician customers; provides competitive product performance information to headquarters marketing or engineering groups. Travel Requirement Travel up to approximately 60% of the time, including regional and local travel. Skills & Experience Required Bachelor's Degree in a related field (preferred). Clinical background such as IR/CT Technician, Operating Room Nurse, or Surgical Technician (preferred). Experience/Knowledge of IR suite, Operating Room Protocol, and Sterile Technique. Experience supporting vascular procedures and tissue ablation procedures highly regarded. Ability to work in a high‑intensity, fast‑paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills. Analytical with an ability/desire to solve problems. Team player. Ability to lift approximately 150 pounds. Compensation and Benefits Base pay range: $98,140 – $134,937.
