Shipping and Receiving Clerk

EDUCATION AND TRAININGHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious Shipping & Receiving Experience preferredExperience loading and unloading trucksBasic computer knowledgeSuccessful completion of in house Hi-Lo trainingJOB DESCRIPTIONAssist in all phases of warehouse operations. Perform all duties and functional responsibilities.A. DUTIES AND FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Finished Goods: Pull finished goods to prepare for daily shipments; utilize hi-lo equipment to pull elevated finished goods.Post master orders to computer inventory and place on shelf; utilize hi-lo equipment to replace elevated items.Maintain finished goods inventory and recordsProperly identify all packaged items with barcode labels.Complete all appropriate paperwork.Keep work areas clean and neatShipping and Receiving Prepare shippers, bill of lading, customs papers and any other required paperwork for outbound shipments and attach to packing envelope.Shrink wrap boxes on pallets and stage in the appropriate areaCall freight carriers and/or customers for pick-upSort freight to appropriate skids and place shippers in packing envelopesLoad all daily UPS and special pick-ups as requiredCross train in all Shipping and Receiving functions. Receive Safety Data Sheets (SDS) with incoming chemicals and distribute to Ink Technician.Observe all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Environmental, Health and Safety regulations as required.
