Team Overview:Our fast-paced, highly collaborative IT team is seeking an Information Security Engineer to help improve our security capabilities and streamline security operations. This is a hands-on role for someone with broad technical experience across multiple security domains with the flexibility and independence to help shape our long-term security direction. As we increasingly incorporate AI into our security workflows, this person will play a key role in evaluating and implementing AI-driven automation to improve how our team operates. This role requires on-site presence at our South Lake Union office in downtown Seattle on a hybrid basis. What You Will Do:Architect and enforce identity and access control, device security, data protection, NGFW, email, SASE, and AI securityDesign and own vulnerability and configuration management across network, endpoint, cloud, and applicationsBuild and maintain detection capabilities including XDR, MDR, SIEM, logging, and cloud security (SaaS/Azure/AWS)Translate findings from security operations and incident response into tool architecture and workflow automation improvementsParticipate in security operations and incident response, including on-call rotation for after-hours incident handling, limited forensics, and ticketingManage risk register, security awareness, and human risk tool configurationsWork cross-functionally with IT, Engineering, and business stakeholders to align security initiatives with business needsDocument processes, configurations, and decisions to build durable institutional knowledgeWhat You Will Bring:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience5+ years of experience in a security engineering, security operations, or equivalent technical roleExperience with security operations, including prevention, detection, and response techniquesProficiency in scripting, threat hunting, KQL, and security automationExperience leading information security incident response effortsStrong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical risk into business-relevant language for technical and non-technical audiences Compensation & Benefits:The benefits listed below may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Impinj and the country where you work. The typical base pay range for this role across the US is $131,200 - $196,800. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties, requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Both market wage data and the mid-point of the pay range is reviewed and used as the starting point for all new hire offers. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.At Impinj certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
