Job Title: Assembly Technician Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and team-oriented individual for the role of Milling & Rework Technical Support and Product Assembly. This position involves working with high-end Micro Milling systems on PCB Repair for various electronic assemblies in the military, aerospace, and consumer industries. Additionally, you will work with high-end Surface Mount Rework machine assembly and Repair Systems for a variety of PCB electronic assemblies alongside milling applications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and build high-end Milling and rework machines.

• Collaborate with engineering to provide solutions for customer applications.

• Engage in direct contact with customers and vendors regarding service and repair.

• Travel for business to customers in North America 30 to 45 percent of the time for installation and training at their facility.

• Perform other tasks as required, including hand tool use, blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, wiring, electrical and mechanical assembly.

• Develop and maintain interpersonal and presentation skills.

Essential Skills

• Technical skills with strong mechanical aptitude.

• Ability to work effectively within a team.

• Understanding of soldering and de-soldering techniques.

• US citizenship.

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Computer Science or equivalent.

• Experience in project management.

• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

• Multilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seymour, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
