Details 20-bed medical ICU within a hospital setting Patient population includes cardiac arrest, sepsis, mechanical ventilation, stroke, post-surgical, continuous dialysis, and bedside invasive procedures Goal nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week) 13-week contract Requirements Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state license currently in hand Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred Must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration Proficiency with computer systems and clinical applications, or ability to be trained Additional Information Provide comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, and direct ICU nursing care in alignment with evidence-based practice Coordinate admissions, transfers, discharges, and patient/family education Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction This position is noted as an extension, meaning prior assignment history at this facility may be relevant to eligibility American Traveler Job ID #P-717367.
