The Mobile Crisis Outreach Specialist will be responsible for providing crisis assessments and appropriate crisis intervention services in office and community settings, such as hospital emergency rooms, medical floors, and jails. Shift differential paid for nights and weekend hours.

The Mobile Crisis Outreach Specialist (MCOT) will:

• Be responsible for providing assessments and appropriate crisis intervention services in community settings, such as: hospital emergency rooms and medical floors, jails, and schools.
• Be empathic, compassionate, and self-motivated!
• Participate in office-based crisis assessments and crisis intervention services
• Work with an amazing crew of clinicians, medical staff, community agencies, school professionals, and local law enforcement agencies to provide crisis stabilization services

**This position's work schedule is one 36-hour week and a 48-hour week the next (8 hours of paid overtime). There are two shifts available:

• Wednesday - Friday and every other Saturday from 7 AM - 7 PM
• Sunday - Tuesday and every other Saturday from 7 PM - 7 AM

• Bachelor's Degree in a Behavioral Science field.
• Applicants must qualify as a Qualified Mental Health Position (QMHP)* as defined by Department of State Health Services (DSHS).
• Applicants must have a valid Driver's License and be insurable through Tri-County.

Offenses that are not an absolute bar to employment but may be considered a contraindication will also be considered during the pre-employment process. Tri-County will also complete a driver's license check. All applicants, employees, contractors and volunteers will be checked prior to hire and monthly through the Texas Health and Human Services Commission Office of the Inspector General (OIG) List of Excluded Individuals. All applicants are required to successfully complete a drug screening and a physical agility test prior to new hire orientation.

Applicants who are selected for a position in the Criminal Justice/Jail Diversion Department, TCOOMMI, and those who provide services to TCOOMMI, i.e., psychiatrists, nurses, etc., must have a Federal background check by fingerprinting through the FBI upon initial hire and annually thereafter.

Applicants who have lived out of state for two or more years from the date of submission of this application must have a Federal background check by fingerprinting through the FBI if they are selected for a position.
