Job Title: Forklift Operator II – 2nd Shift

Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:45 PM – 12:15 AM
Overtime: As needed, including possible Saturdays
Work Location: Onsite
Employment Type: Contract/Temporary Assignment

Job Summary

The Forklift Operator II is responsible for performing physical and administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and fulfilling orders for materials, products, and supplies. This role involves operating powered industrial equipment to transport materials safely and efficiently throughout the facility while maintaining inventory accuracy and adhering to all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Load, unload, stack, stage, store, and transport materials using forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.
• Complete ERP system transactions for shipping and receiving activities.
• Utilize handheld RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to process and fulfill orders.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory control activities.
• Handle and transport hazardous materials in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Follow 5S standards and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Complete all required safety training and comply with workplace safety procedures.
• Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for assigned tasks.
• Obtain and maintain certification for powered industrial equipment, including sit-down forklifts, dock stockers, and powered pallet jacks.
• Inspect and perform basic maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience operating industrial forklifts and warehouse equipment, including:
• • Stand-up reach trucks
  • Sit-down forklifts
  • Order pickers
  • Powered pallet jacks
• Experience using RF scanners for receiving, transporting, and shipping functions.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Knowledge of forklift safety procedures and warehouse safety regulations.

Preferred:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One or more years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Experience working with ERP systems and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Current forklift certifications are preferred.
