Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to manage and service an assigned book of personal insurance clients.

This role serves as the primary day-to-day contact for clients and works closely with insurance carriers and internal team members to provide proactive service, manage renewals, review coverage needs, and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of Personal Lines insurance experience, strong client relationship skills, and an active California Property & Casualty License.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and service an assigned book of Personal Lines insurance clients.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients and provide responsive, professional service.
• Advise clients regarding policy changes, coverage options, endorsements, billing questions, and insurance solutions.
• Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, evidence of insurance, and other servicing requests.
• Manage the renewal process and review policies for accuracy, coverage adequacy, and changing client needs.
• Present renewal options and coverage recommendations to clients.
• Coordinate with insurance carriers to secure appropriate and competitive coverage solutions.
• Identify cross-sell and account-rounding opportunities when appropriate.
• Assist with quoting and placement of new Personal Lines accounts.
• Gather underwriting information and prepare carrier submissions.
• Prepare proposals and coverage comparisons for clients.
• Assist clients with claims reporting and coordinate with carriers as needed.
• Review insurance programs to identify potential coverage gaps and educate clients on available coverage options.
• Maintain complete and accurate client records within the agency management system.
• Ensure compliance with agency procedures, carrier requirements, and industry regulations.

Qualifications

• Active California Property & Casualty License required.
• Minimum 3 years of Personal Lines insurance experience.
• Experience managing a Personal Lines book of business.
• Strong knowledge of Personal Lines insurance products, including Homeowners, Auto, Umbrella, Renters, Condominium, and Recreational Vehicle policies.
• Experience working directly with insurance carriers and clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and relationship-management skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems.
• Native-level Japanese proficiency and professional-level English proficiency required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with high-net-worth or affluent Personal Lines clients.
• Experience marketing Personal Lines accounts with multiple insurance carriers.
• Knowledge of carrier underwriting guidelines and Personal Lines rating.
• Experience with Applied Epic or a similar agency management system.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced Personal Lines insurance professional who enjoys building long-term client relationships and providing high-quality service.

Candidates should be comfortable managing the full account lifecycle, including policy servicing, renewals, coverage reviews, carrier coordination, and new business support. An active California Property & Casualty License is required for this position.
