Dental Assistant Full Time

We are growing! The ideal candidate is an upbeat, professional and reliable person who is looking to work in a multi-specialty office who sees patients of all ages. Preferably with certification Dental Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures. Explaining office procedures before treatment to patients. Providing quality and compassionate care to every patient before, during and after dental treatment. Patient management during dental procedures. Dental charting of patient's pre-existing and accurate inputting of patient progress notes. Providing patients with post-op instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling). Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth). Preparing and maintaining dental instruments, supplies and equipment. Taking and developing x-rays, collecting and recording patient health histories. Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment. Monitor equipment and hand piece repairs for all operatory equipment, accurate completion and follow up of repair logs. Completion of daily/weekly/monthly tasks including autoclave testing and cleaning of traps. Assisting with monthly supply order. Assisting clinic with recall and treatment plan reports, when requested. Responsible for adhering to all government and company regulations. Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery. Qualifications Experience in a customer service environment and good computer skills are necessary. An upbeat attitude and outgoing personality are a MUST to succeed in this position. Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks. A people person/team player. Dental Assistant certification. Must possess great chair side manners. Ability to adapt to different needs and techniques. An individual who can work under pressure and strives to advance. An individual who adheres to policies and procedures. Bilinguals are a plus! Salary is based on experience.
