About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Trauma experience - Wound care Description: General Comments: This unit provides trauma stepdown care. It consists of 10 beds with a staff of 9 members. The day shift includes 1 Clinical Coordinator, 3 RNs, and 1 CNA. The night shift includes 3 RNs and 1 CNA. Patient ratios are typically 3-4:1. Common equipment includes a Hoyer lift. The EMR system utilized is Meditech. Candidates must have trauma experience and wound care skills to be considered. Preferred qualifications include stepdown experience and care for chronic ventilation with tracheostomy. Typical procedures performed in this unit are wound care and managing heavy physical therapy needs. The ideal candidate is efficient, flexible, friendly, and a team player. Required certifications include ACLS and BLS. Floating areas may include a trauma telemetry unit. The dress code requires navy scrubs. Weekend shifts require 3 weekends a month or every other weekend.
