Registered Nurse (RN) PACU Bonus: $15,000 two-year commitment Shift: 8:00-4:30 | Full Time | Monday-Friday | C All every 12 weeks for the week and night call every other week from 11p-7am Your experience matters. Job Summary & Essential Functions Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Recovery/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Meets the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients and families. Communicates effectively with all members of the healthcare team regarding changes in patient condition or response to treatment. Reports to the Director of Surgery. Patient Populations Served Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult. Protected Health Information Accessed Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record. Exposure & Physical Requirements Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present; may involve contact with patients, blood, body fluids, or specimens. Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex. What We Are Looking For Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing required (current RN licensure accepted in lieu of degree); Bachelor’s Degree preferred. License/Certifications: Current RN license in state of Kentucky or a current multistate license; BLS required; ACLS and PALS within 1 year of hire.
