Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Field Service Driver Technician with a CDL-A license to join our mobile ITAD team. This role combines technical expertise with customer service and logistics to ensure secure, on-site shredding and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will travel to client sites, operate and maintain shredding equipment, drive our custom-built trucks, and manage daily operations, including inventory control and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

● Truck Operations: Safely drive and operate 24-foot or 26-foot trucks to client locations (CDL required for larger trucks).

● Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.

● Technical Operations: Operate and maintain shredding equipment, ensuring compliance with security and performance standards.

● Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment as needed to minimize downtime.

● Monitor shred events, ensuring output meets client specifications and security levels.

● Support warehouse team with organization and inventory checks as needed.

● Assist with equipment prep, loading/unloading, and basic service tasks at Phiston's facility when not on the road.

● Inventory Management: Track and order consumables (e.g., debris bins) and spare parts to maintain uninterrupted operations.

● Maintain detailed records of inventory usage and replenishment schedules.

● Customer Service: Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients, addressing questions or concerns professionally and promptly.

● Provide clients with Certificates of Destruction (CoD) and other required documentation.

● Basic knowledge of generator maintenance and operation.

● Compliance and Reporting:

● Follow safety and data destruction protocols, including regulatory and certification requirements (e.g., NAID AAA).

● Submit accurate daily and event reports, including equipment performance and client feedback.

● Maintain truck maintenance records and driver logs.

Qualifications:

● Valid driver’s license (CDL REQUIRED for larger trucks).

● Experience operating and maintaining industrial machinery or similar technical equipment.

● 30-50% travel required

● Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

● Familiarity with inventory management processes.

● Excellent communication and customer service skills.

● Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

● Physical ability to handle equipment setup and operation.

● Clean background and driving record required.

Preferred Skills:

● Experience in ITAD or a related field (e.g., data destruction, logistics).

● Certification or training in equipment operation or maintenance.

● Familiarity with compliance standards such as NAID AAA or ISO certifications.
