Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Varied Start Times (4:00 PM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, high-acuity Emergency Room environment serving approximately 155 patients per day, including trauma, stroke, pediatric, and psychiatric cases
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4 across a 28-bed unit with fast track, trauma bays, and hallway beds
• Operate and document within a Cerner EMR system and utilize GE telemetry monitoring
• Manage ventilated patients and collaborate with on-site hospitalists and intensivists available 24/7
• Complete and pass a proctored Dysrhythmia Test on Day 1 — this is a mandatory PASS/FAIL requirement
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment, demonstrating leadership and helping to foster teamwork within the ER

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in California
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience in a high-volume, high-acuity setting
• Experience at a Level II Trauma Center or above required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience managing trauma patients independently
• Demonstrated ability to take on a leadership role and promote team cohesion in a fast-paced ER environment
