Job Description
Registered Nurse - Postoperative Care

Schedule


Straight Nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday.


Assignment Details


Minimum 2 years of experience required.


Requirements

• Current license by the Ohio State Board of Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with care of patients who have undergone various surgeries, including general surgery, orthopedics, Uro/Gyn, GI, and vascular

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs and health indicators after surgery
• Administer pain medications and manage postoperative pain
• Perform post-surgical wound care and monitor for signs of infection
• Provide education to patients and families regarding postoperative care
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Respond to emergencies or changes in patient condition
