Solar Installer OpportunityHelp launch Sunrun's brand-new St. Louis branch! As America's #1 home solar and battery company, we are seeking an experienced Solar Installer to join our team starting now!As a key member of our launch team, you will spend your first few months gaining hands-on leadership experience alongside our established Chicago team before permanently running installation crews out of our new St. Louis branch when doors open in early 2027.Through our Power+ program, we invest heavily in your skills and career development, offering cross-training across solar, battery, and service operations to build long-term job security.Travel & Perks PackageWhile supporting operations in Chicago during the pre-launch phase, Sunrun covers 100% of your travel overhead:Rotation Schedule: 2 weeks on-site in Chicago, followed by 4 full days off at home in St. Louis.Paid Travel Time: Full hourly compensation for time spent traveling between St. Louis and Chicago.Lodging & Meal Allowance: 100% company-paid hotel accommodations plus daily per diem.ResponsibilitiesEnsure personal, crew and job site safety at all times and participates in training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safetyReview inventory at loading dock to ensure assigned crew truck is stocked adequatelyComplete layout and assemble solar modules, the racking, mechanical and structural mounts, electrical equipment and tools in preparation of installation as specified in the project planApply weather sealing to roofing structure, building or support mechanismsPerform project clean up including client site and installation vehicle to ensure a clean and orderly job site and work environmentQualificationsPrevious solar, construction or military experience preferred but not requiredAdheres to company safety policies and procedures including ability to identify and report safety hazards, and the ability to encourage others to work safelyAbility to get along with customers and coworkers in a courteous and professional mannerShown ability to meet due dates, metrics and impact results both individually and as a phenomenal teammate in a fast paced, team based environment.Physical DemandsAbility to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces which requires frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balanceAbility to climb laddersAbility to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to: excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidityAbility to frequently utilize hand functions requiring fine motor skills, including but not limited to: fine manipulation, grasping, and pinchingAbility to work within the safe range of equipment such as ladders, fall protection harnesses and other personal protective equipmentAbility to work and maintain balance on roofs and other areas of heightAbility to work in the sun and possibly low light conditionsAbility to walk on rafters, roof tiles, and roof shingles without damageAbility to distinguish colors such as red, black, yellow, white, greenAbility to work in confined spaces such as attics, basements, and crawl spaces which requires kneeling and crouchingAbility to hear verbal commands and warningsAbility to work with chemicals using appropriate protectionsHow you will be AwardedFull benefits package including health, vision, dental insurance, 401K with company match, Employee Stock Purchase Program, paid training, and much moreThe opportunity to invest in yourself and your career through PowerU - Sunrun's 100% tuition reimbursement program with over 150 educational opportunitiesCompetitive hourly base pay paid biweekly and eligibility for performance based bonus compensationInternal advancement opportunities, as earnedRecruiter: Charles Smith (View email address on click.appcast.io)Starting salary/wage for this opportunity: $21.82 to $29.09Compensation decisions will not be based on a candidate's salary history.
